00:00:09.031 --> 00:00:14.602
It's a new week and a new episode of A Witch, a Mystic and a Feminist with your hosts Marlena, jamie and Christy.

00:00:14.602 --> 00:00:20.323
On today's episode, we welcome writer, intuitive and dream worker Megan Mary.

00:00:20.323 --> 00:00:25.621
Megan is the founder of Women's Dream Analysis, specializing in the analysis of Women's Dreams.

00:00:25.621 --> 00:00:27.265
Welcome to the show, megan.

00:00:27.265 --> 00:00:28.568
We're glad to have you here.

00:00:28.568 --> 00:00:29.852
Thank you, christy.

00:00:30.132 --> 00:00:31.402
It's a pleasure to be here.

00:00:31.963 --> 00:00:33.728
Yay, dreams.

00:00:33.728 --> 00:00:36.012
We've been talking about this forever.

00:00:36.012 --> 00:00:39.200
Oh good, yes, I'm so excited.

00:00:39.200 --> 00:00:40.543
Welcome to the show, Megan.

00:00:40.543 --> 00:00:41.768
Thank you so much.

00:00:41.828 --> 00:00:43.793
Jamie, this will be juicy.

00:00:44.756 --> 00:00:51.332
So, speaking of dreams, can you tell us a little bit about what you do and explain to our listeners a little more about that?

00:00:51.759 --> 00:01:14.331
Yes, so basically, I work with women to help them embrace the transformative power of their dreams and by that I'm talking about nighttime dreams, dreams that you have while you're asleep and I really feel that they are the portal to self-discovery and personal transformation, and so I'm really on the path to spreading the word about that.

00:01:14.331 --> 00:01:21.064
It was very integral in my spiritual journey and I was called to do this work.

00:01:21.064 --> 00:01:34.322
So here I am, doing that every day, and it really is to me a really mystical aspect of ourselves that we just aren't embracing, that we've not been taught to embrace.

00:01:35.468 --> 00:01:35.828
I agree.

00:01:35.828 --> 00:01:38.799
What would you say to someone who doesn't dream or doesn't remember their dreams?

00:01:38.799 --> 00:01:39.742
Yeah, yes.

00:01:39.903 --> 00:01:53.939
So I hear this almost every interview and I know I really didn't anticipate that when I started, because I have multiple dreams every night and so to me it was kind of shocking that some people would say they didn't remember them.

00:01:53.939 --> 00:01:57.471
But of course there's exterior and internal reasons.

00:01:57.471 --> 00:02:05.230
So the exterior reasons could of course be if you've had any kind of injury to the brain or if you are taking any kind of medication.

00:02:05.230 --> 00:02:08.823
Certain things like that can be an exterior influence on that.

00:02:08.823 --> 00:02:15.461
Interior influence can be if you subconsciously turned off your dream recall at some point.

00:02:15.461 --> 00:02:20.965
So you're not really aware of it, but at some point you had a dream that you didn't know what to do with that.

00:02:20.965 --> 00:02:42.831
You didn't want to listen to the message, and so you subconsciously said I'm not listening to that anymore, I'm turning this off now, and you're subconscious said okay, we'll stay quiet, and it just kind of repressed that message and so you're kind of living in that state of I don't want to know, like ignorance is bliss type state.

00:02:43.401 --> 00:02:44.224
That's interesting.

00:02:44.224 --> 00:02:47.602
I identify with that, because I didn't actually think that that was something you could do.

00:02:47.602 --> 00:02:59.318
But just recently I was like I'm gonna, I really want to remember my dreams, and so I feel like I turned it back on somehow, or I was like allowing it, you know.

00:02:59.318 --> 00:03:07.442
And so then in the last couple of months I've been remembering or calling my dreams more, but I honestly didn't think I had that power.

00:03:08.104 --> 00:03:13.064
Yes, you know, yes, power of intention and let's, you know, let's not underestimate that.

00:03:13.064 --> 00:03:26.092
So, when you want to remember your dreams, that there's really one of the ways to make it happen, it's to say I'm going to do this, I want to do this, and having that it's dedication, but also, just, really, just the intent is very powerful.

00:03:27.300 --> 00:03:30.546
So how do you get women to interpret their dreams?

00:03:30.546 --> 00:03:43.552
Like for me, if I have a dream and I can't really, you know, pinpoint what it's supposed to mean, I'll just go on Google and be like dream analysis and you know whatever this is and how is what you do different than that?

00:03:43.800 --> 00:03:44.040
Yes.

00:03:44.040 --> 00:03:50.983
So I encourage everyone to break up with their dream dictionary, because it's not really giving you the right advice.

00:03:50.983 --> 00:03:53.969
I'm guilty of a tube from a long time ago.

00:03:53.969 --> 00:04:03.067
I used to do that, and that's partly because people just don't know what to do with that guidance and they're not used to turning into their intuition and they don't know what to make of it.

00:04:04.030 --> 00:04:14.891
And the way I approach dreams is that there's stories, essentially stories from our subconscious, and stories are told in a language, and that dream language is unique to you.

00:04:14.891 --> 00:04:28.992
So it's a lexicon of your subconscious which is comprised of everything that you've ever experienced, and as well as perhaps in past lives, if you believe in that, and so it's really something that is very specific to the dreamer.

00:04:28.992 --> 00:04:49.372
So, even though there might be these universal archetype, trope, cultural things that we all experience in as part of our human experience, the dream story is couched in a multitude of details that are unique to you, and so it makes that message unique to you in regards to your life.

00:04:49.372 --> 00:05:07.000
So what I help women do is decode their dreams essentially and help them understand what their dream language is, so that they can gather that message and that wisdom from the dream and then use that to improve their life moving forward.

00:05:07.461 --> 00:05:10.310
Hmm, so does every dream have a message?

00:05:10.310 --> 00:05:15.370
Can sometimes it just be I don't know what you last watched on TV before you went to bed.

00:05:15.370 --> 00:05:20.470
I mean, can it just be simply the book you just put down when you fell asleep, or whatever?

00:05:21.012 --> 00:05:26.990
It's great that you use that example, because that is one of the number one reasons that people disregard their dreams.

00:05:26.990 --> 00:05:29.187
So say, well, I just watched that movie last night.

00:05:29.187 --> 00:05:32.805
So of course I was dreaming about sharks because I just watched that movie, and that's just silly.

00:05:32.805 --> 00:05:40.651
But look at the context of it, because you did a lot of stuff yesterday and a lot of that isn't in it in the dream.

00:05:40.651 --> 00:05:54.105
So, yeah, I really feel that they all have a message and I feel that your subconscious just takes different things to be part of the puzzle, to create the scenario.

00:05:54.105 --> 00:06:00.242
And so, yeah, you watched that movie and it was like, just keep going with that example, as it was about sharks.

00:06:01.163 --> 00:06:04.146
But did you just watch a replay of the movie?

00:06:04.146 --> 00:06:08.452
No, something else happened in that dream.

00:06:08.452 --> 00:06:16.117
So it introduced maybe that same scenario, but then who was there, what was the action, what was the emotion, what was what played out?

00:06:16.117 --> 00:06:23.550
And it's not going to be the storyline of what you watched, it's going to be a completely different scenario.

00:06:23.550 --> 00:06:38.490
And so I think that's what becomes confusing to people many times is that they just say, well, this is just a regurgitation, this is just a combination of what happened to me yesterday and it doesn't mean anything, and I beg to differ.

00:06:39.072 --> 00:06:45.189
I saw on your website that you could sign up for like a free worksheet, right for your dream.

00:06:45.189 --> 00:06:54.069
Yes, you do think sometimes that, well, you know, just watch that movie with this actor and that's why he popped up in my dream or whatever, and you just kind of brush it off.

00:06:54.069 --> 00:06:55.334
But it's.

00:06:55.334 --> 00:06:57.461
It is very confusing.

00:06:57.461 --> 00:07:02.343
When you wake up in the morning you're like what, what was that?

00:07:02.343 --> 00:07:03.670
That's just, it's just crazy.

00:07:03.670 --> 00:07:08.420
I and I do believe there's messages in there, but the craziness that comes with the dream.

00:07:08.420 --> 00:07:10.204
Sometimes you're like where did that come from?

00:07:10.204 --> 00:07:12.656
What is actually going on?

00:07:14.432 --> 00:07:20.310
And there's a lot of different ways to decode it, and I have an online course where I teach a lot of the different methods.

00:07:20.310 --> 00:07:24.062
But sometimes there's even some other things interesting.

00:07:24.062 --> 00:07:54.069
Things like word play, for example, where you'll see something happening or or a sign that says something, or somebody will say something to you that just doesn't really seem to make sense, and then you're telling someone about it, and when you say it out loud, all of a sudden you go oh yeah, okay, now I see what that is, but when you're just repeating in your head or you write it down, you don't really get it, and so our dreams have interesting ways of revealing the information to us.

00:07:55.033 --> 00:08:01.389
So, with your clients, how do you approach interpreting their dreams and empowering them, using their dreams to empower themselves?

00:08:02.653 --> 00:08:08.589
The way I use my method, which I call the dream mirror method, which is what you saw on that, on that sheet that you can download.

00:08:08.589 --> 00:08:15.389
It's basically just a one page sheet, but it gives you the boxes of sort of the different things to look for and to start recording.

00:08:15.389 --> 00:08:35.850
And the way I use that method is to really get you to start paying attention to all the details in the dream so that we can draw out all of those subconscious associations and personal life associations with those objects, people, places, settings, numbers, colors, all those things.

00:08:35.850 --> 00:08:43.830
And then I ask you a whole bunch of questions to act as a mirror, essentially to your subconscious.

00:08:43.830 --> 00:08:57.703
Instead of telling, inputting something and telling you this is what that means, I try and have you tell me what does it mean, because if I tell you what it means, it's going to be totally different for me as a subjective observer.

00:08:58.731 --> 00:09:05.703
And once we derive all of those things, then we look at the dream as a metaphor for your waking life.

00:09:05.703 --> 00:09:12.464
And once you realize, ok, the dreams don't tell us what we already know is the other thing.

00:09:12.464 --> 00:09:27.424
So don't assume that you know what it means and that it was just about that movie last night, and so start to unravel that, and when you do, you get at that deeper meaning that's coming from your intuition and your higher wisdom.

00:09:27.424 --> 00:09:32.402
And when you've obtained that, then the next question is what do I do with that?

00:09:32.402 --> 00:10:08.086
And so I have a process that I call dream integration, where I use different healing modalities to help you integrate the wisdom that you've obtained from the dream, and that can involve different things like meditation, visualization, affirmations, as well as sound frequencies, and in my programs I compile and overlay all of those things to really customize it to your personal dream so that you can really use that method as a catalyst for spiritual transformation.

00:10:09.894 --> 00:10:10.215
I like it.

00:10:10.215 --> 00:10:13.302
Well, I like it because dreams are very personal.

00:10:13.302 --> 00:10:30.542
So if I were to sit there and tell you, I had a dream that I was being chased by the FBI and then, when I went to go hide, I slid into a little space, which then, in turn, turned into another dimension, for example, this was a dream from a couple of weeks ago.

00:10:31.419 --> 00:10:33.315
Very specific, yeah, very specific.

00:10:35.553 --> 00:10:39.721
But for me that would be totally different than someone else, I would assume.

00:10:41.030 --> 00:10:45.041
Absolutely yes, because your conception of all of those things is different.

00:10:45.100 --> 00:10:46.331
Right, obviously.

00:10:46.331 --> 00:10:48.674
Well, I say obviously because we all believe this.

00:10:48.674 --> 00:10:58.181
But we do get visitors from the other side in our dreams and I always tell my lost loved ones please come visit me in my dreams.

00:10:58.181 --> 00:11:05.416
Don't show yourself while I'm getting dressed in the morning, like if you're going to want to make yourself visual to me, come to me in my dreams.

00:11:05.416 --> 00:11:14.370
But I have had people who have lost loved ones that really want to see them in their dreams and yet they don't come.

00:11:14.370 --> 00:11:20.294
I don't know if there's some kind of technique for them other than just saying like we do like, come visit me, come.

00:11:20.294 --> 00:11:25.553
Or maybe they're blocking it out, like you said, sometimes we turn off our dream trigger if you will.

00:11:25.553 --> 00:11:29.885
But do you have any advice for those people out there?

00:11:29.885 --> 00:11:36.388
Because that is kind of a safe space I feel Sometimes dreams to have our lost loved ones come see us.

00:11:36.388 --> 00:11:40.216
But is there a way we can welcome them in a little bit more?

00:11:40.966 --> 00:12:08.183
I definitely have experienced and believe in dream visitations and I have a lot of people come to me with those, and I think, in terms of creating that situation, it falls into the process of what is called dream incubation or dream manifestation, which can be done whether you're trying to achieve a visitation or not, even if you're just trying to achieve a certain kind of dream.

00:12:08.183 --> 00:12:10.330
You're trying to create a solution to a problem.

00:12:10.330 --> 00:12:17.090
Dream manifestation is very much further advanced version of the I'm going to remember my dreams.

00:12:17.090 --> 00:12:23.072
Instead, it's I'm going to have this kind of dream, and it's utilizing that same power of intention.

00:12:23.072 --> 00:12:39.099
It's utilizing that the power of the mind, mindset, intention, affirmation to create the reality that you want to achieve, as well in the 3D world, as well as in the 5D and above worlds that exist in the dream world.

00:12:40.260 --> 00:12:48.058
And so I believe that you can very much manifest a dream that is a visitation if you call upon that.

00:12:48.058 --> 00:13:32.349
And so one of those methods is just to use a journal, and it doesn't have to be your dream journal or, if you don't remember your dreams, it's just your normal journal, but write down what you intend to have happen that night and who you'd like to be visited by, or what questions you have or what you're trying to solve, and your subconscious mind is going to go to work on that for you and your spiritual energy is going to put out that request and when you ask for help from the universe, you're putting out that open invitation that is going to bring that information and that wisdom and that those other spirits to help you and be around you.

00:13:32.870 --> 00:13:34.595
I like that dream manifestation.

00:13:34.895 --> 00:13:44.211
With that, though, do you think that, for both yourself and the spirit, that they sometimes maybe wait until you're ready for that visitation?

00:13:45.075 --> 00:13:55.163
Yes, so when the student is ready, the teacher appears, as they say, and so when you're ready to receive that information, it will come to you.

00:13:55.163 --> 00:13:56.927
But you can also ask.

00:13:56.927 --> 00:14:17.633
So I feel, in this world, in this 3D world, we very much of course have that illusion anyway of free will, and if we, we know we all have spirit guides and spirit assistants, but they're not going to intercede, they're not going to help us unless we ask, unless we invite them and invoke them, in other words.

00:14:17.633 --> 00:14:27.118
So I think that's part of it is that when you're ready and you do that invocation, then it's allowing that to come in.

00:14:27.505 --> 00:14:29.053
You're opening that door right.

00:14:29.053 --> 00:14:31.225
So you're just kind of saying, okay, I'm ready.

00:14:31.384 --> 00:15:14.657
Yes, Well, I asked that question because when my father passed away and he would send me different types of signs throughout the day, but I always wanted him to visit me in my dreams and it took about a little over a year for him to actually finally visit me in my dream, and so that's why I was like, but I was also going through a lot of grief, I was having a really tough time, you know, but I kept asking for him to visit me in my dream and so just Okay, yes, yes, and when my father passed, it was, I think, the third day that I had the first visitation, so it just was, and then it's always happened after that.

00:15:14.778 --> 00:15:17.787
So You're all every night.

00:15:17.787 --> 00:15:21.033
He's there, he's there.

00:15:21.254 --> 00:15:22.035
They don't go away.

00:15:22.035 --> 00:15:23.158
They're always with us.

00:15:23.985 --> 00:15:25.049
Yeah, absolutely.

00:15:25.190 --> 00:15:31.211
So also, what are some of the common symbols or themes that you find with some of your clients and their dreams?

00:15:31.714 --> 00:15:32.739
As discussed before.

00:15:32.739 --> 00:15:39.274
I think that we have commonalities and experiences, but our dreams are very unique.

00:15:39.274 --> 00:15:56.172
So there might be people that have dreams about losing their phone or being lost somewhere, or finding out that they don't have any clothes on, or their teeth are falling out or they're drowning, or I mean those are all very common dreams.

00:15:56.172 --> 00:16:05.568
But if you Three, you said down this morning and shared your dreams, and one of you said I had a dream about drowning, and you said I did too.

00:16:05.568 --> 00:16:08.456
Well, let's not just leave it at that.

00:16:08.456 --> 00:16:10.192
What was yours about?

00:16:11.129 --> 00:16:21.957
And it's not going to be the same dream, because you could be drowning and then you saved someone, you saved yourself, or you made it to shore and you felt super empowered.

00:16:21.957 --> 00:16:24.057
The other person could have sunk to the bottom.

00:16:24.057 --> 00:16:29.481
You don't know what the outcome is going to be or what your actions are going to be.

00:16:29.481 --> 00:16:36.677
It's very much like in this world where we can't really decide what's going to happen to us, but we can decide how we're going to react.

00:16:36.677 --> 00:16:49.419
And so in a dream, you might be presented in the middle of a scenario, but what's going to happen and who's with you and how do you feel at that moment, and that's going to be unique to each dreamer and very different.

00:16:50.090 --> 00:16:54.139
So I had a weird instance and maybe it wasn't weird, but for me it was.

00:16:54.139 --> 00:17:05.258
So a couple of weeks ago my husband and I both I woke up and I had a dream and it was all about snakes, montages, like snake thing, and I wrote it down.

00:17:05.258 --> 00:17:08.057
So I tell my husband I'm like I have this dream about snakes.

00:17:08.057 --> 00:17:10.055
And he's like, oh my God, I did too.

00:17:10.055 --> 00:17:11.098
And I said what.

00:17:11.098 --> 00:17:15.557
And so I'm like so I was like, okay, I was like so what was your dream about?

00:17:15.557 --> 00:17:29.195
So his snake dream was that there was like a small, thin snake around like a bottle, like a Coke-like bottle, and he was showing someone the snake and he went to pick it up and it was probably a gardener snake, you know something like that.

00:17:29.195 --> 00:17:35.295
But he went to go pick it up by the neck but grabbed it more towards its center and it started to strike at his right hand.

00:17:35.295 --> 00:17:38.682
But he said like the bites didn't hurt and he just kept going oh, what are you doing?

00:17:38.682 --> 00:17:39.813
I'm just gosh, you know.

00:17:39.813 --> 00:17:41.336
And that was the end of his dream.

00:17:41.336 --> 00:18:01.259
And then my dream was not small snakes, but like long, girthy, like like huge snakes, and I had there was a one bit where I was aware of the snakes, definitely not scared, but just a little bit apprehensive, but knew they weren't there to harm me in any way.

00:18:01.259 --> 00:18:07.721
And so one of the snakes was an orange snake with diamonds down the middle that I recognized for my childhood.

00:18:07.721 --> 00:18:27.492
I lived by a railroad track and had come down through the ice plant and into our court and my neighbor actually like killed it with like a pitchfork and flung it back into the ice plant and I'm like, oh, that's, it's great, okay, but in the dream it slithered toward me and passed me safe, right, didn't get killed.

00:18:27.492 --> 00:18:37.520
And then there was another sequence where there was a king snake in our backyard a few years back and its head was up and coming really proudly towards me.

00:18:37.520 --> 00:18:41.230
And in real life I freaked out, freaked out.

00:18:41.230 --> 00:18:51.653
I was on the phone and back through my phone I mean like it was terrible and but again it was coming proudly towards me, not there to hurt me, I knew there was.

00:18:51.653 --> 00:18:55.393
It was just kind of like coming towards me and past me, looking for safe passage.

00:18:56.191 --> 00:19:10.710
And then the weirdest scene and I'm sorry not to derail this whole interview, but like the weirdest scene was there was a snake in my son's hamster cage and I asked my son why, why is there a snake in there, like?

00:19:10.710 --> 00:19:12.517
And he goes oh, it's fake, mom, it's fake.

00:19:12.517 --> 00:19:15.778
And I said, but why would you put like a predator in your hamster's cage?

00:19:15.778 --> 00:19:16.953
Like that's terrifying.

00:19:16.953 --> 00:19:21.779
And so I crouched down and I look at the snake in the eye and I swear.

00:19:21.779 --> 00:19:23.573
I see it breathe, like I swear.

00:19:23.573 --> 00:19:24.557
I see that it's alive.

00:19:24.557 --> 00:19:30.862
And my son reaches into the cage and he pulls out the snake and it's clearly a fake rubber snake.

00:19:30.862 --> 00:19:35.978
So he puts it back in and again I crouched to eye level and I see the snake breathe.

00:19:35.978 --> 00:19:48.299
And my dream ends so like, not only because I don't really like snakes, but not only was my dream a little bit weird, but then my husband shared, you know, same subject matter on the same night.

00:19:48.299 --> 00:19:52.377
How have you ever encountered that before?

00:19:52.377 --> 00:19:55.295
Is there like a commonality between that or is that just random?

00:19:55.930 --> 00:20:10.434
I think what's most important of that whole dream account is the different ways the snakes presented and the different ways that you experienced encountering the snake, and you and your husband as well.

00:20:10.434 --> 00:20:23.162
So it's a perfect example, because he was upset by its presence and it was slightly attacking him and he was annoyed and confused and you were not distraught and it was passing you.

00:20:23.162 --> 00:20:45.836
And also the fact that you recognize it as something from your childhood places your scenario and your childhood where for him it would be a question of what is the coke bottle represent to you and what everything about that snake in his dream is going to couch that scenario differently for him, based on his experience.

00:20:45.836 --> 00:20:59.228
And so you're all experiencing something very different and you can see that, if you were to just summarize and share briefly that each one of you had a dream about snakes and isn't that weird?

00:20:59.228 --> 00:21:01.067
And there must be some synchronicity and coincidence.

00:21:01.067 --> 00:21:08.229
Well, maybe there is, but once you get to those deeper layers, you start to really understand that it's completely different.

00:21:08.500 --> 00:21:13.907
Yeah, okay, I've been waiting to hear the snake dream, since we talked about this two weeks ago.

00:21:14.480 --> 00:21:15.503
Oh, here's the snake dream.

00:21:17.260 --> 00:21:20.589
So yeah, but I understand what you're saying.

00:21:20.589 --> 00:21:30.307
They're totally different between the two, right, like how he was frustrated and annoyed and I was just kind of like observing and like knowing that they're not there to hurt me.

00:21:30.307 --> 00:21:34.066
So, you know, got to dig a little deeper to find the meaning behind that.

00:21:34.066 --> 00:21:36.625
Yeah, thank you, I appreciate that.

00:21:37.520 --> 00:21:40.890
So, megan, I have another question with regards to dreaming.

00:21:40.890 --> 00:21:50.326
So, as Christy was having her dream and, in the dream, not recognizing that she's dreaming, what about those that are lucid dreaming and working on their lucid dreaming?

00:21:50.326 --> 00:21:52.768
How does that come into play?

00:21:53.240 --> 00:22:03.910
So lucid dreaming is definitely a process whereby you can purposefully attain a state of lucidity and it can be used as a healing methodology.

00:22:03.910 --> 00:22:11.067
So you can definitely use it to recreate scenarios that you want an alternate ending for.

00:22:11.067 --> 00:22:28.653
So if you have, for example, a recurring nightmare and you want to envision a different ending to that nightmare, you can manifest that dream and enter it and lucidly change the course of the dream.

00:22:28.653 --> 00:22:38.148
Or if you find yourself in that recurring nightmare, you can realize that you're dreaming and then change the scenario of that.

00:22:38.148 --> 00:22:58.647
So there's a lot of applications of lucid dreaming, In addition to the creative and amazing ones, that really allow us to kind of experience a spiritual transformation where we can really just use it to gain more confidence, to gain more agency, to affect change.

00:22:58.647 --> 00:23:08.104
And when we do that, it triggers our subconscious to shift as well and it creates a synergy that really translates into our waking life.

00:23:09.007 --> 00:23:09.849
Lucid dreaming.

00:23:09.849 --> 00:23:11.707
Maybe I don't understand that definition.

00:23:11.707 --> 00:23:14.366
Is what is lucid dreaming?

00:23:14.366 --> 00:23:15.009
Sorry?

00:23:15.500 --> 00:23:17.046
It's when we know we're dreaming.

00:23:17.046 --> 00:23:23.876
Ok, so when you become aware that you're dreaming, inside of a dream is the state of lucidity.

00:23:23.876 --> 00:23:33.431
And so, when you become aware that you're dreaming, you sometimes initially it's just oh my god, this is a dream, what am I doing?

00:23:33.431 --> 00:23:40.888
And then you wake up, because the minute you recognize that it's a dream, you'll kind of panic or get excited and you'll wake up.

00:23:40.888 --> 00:23:49.905
But if you're able to practice it to the point that, oh, I'm in a dream, ok, well, now I'm going to change this.

00:23:49.905 --> 00:23:52.426
Who is this person that's chasing me?

00:23:52.426 --> 00:23:55.128
Or what am I doing with this scenario?

00:23:55.128 --> 00:24:04.905
I want to be here now and you can really change the whole layout and trajectory of the dream with intent.

00:24:05.420 --> 00:24:06.343
I was going to.

00:24:06.343 --> 00:24:10.183
It sounded like what I called taking charge of your dream.

00:24:10.183 --> 00:24:13.807
I'm going to actually know what I'm going to be doing.

00:24:13.807 --> 00:24:18.502
I've had that experience before where it was OK, you're just in a dream.

00:24:18.502 --> 00:24:22.022
And it hits you like you're just in a dream, it's OK, everything's fine, it's just a dream.

00:24:22.022 --> 00:24:37.905
And then I've experienced that where I've been able to change my actions in the dream, or one of those dreams where you are naked walking through a park and you're like it's just a dream, it's OK.

00:24:37.905 --> 00:24:48.643
It's OK Because you wake up in this dream with no clothes on or you're falling off a cliff or something, and it's very hard, it's very.

00:24:48.643 --> 00:24:56.742
There's probably ways to practice to get into it better, but it's very hard to have that realization while you're in it.

00:24:56.742 --> 00:25:00.488
But when you get it, it's like OK, it's fine, everything's fine, everything's fine.

00:25:00.488 --> 00:25:01.830
We're in a dream, it's OK.

00:25:03.182 --> 00:25:04.647
It's hard to stabilize it as well.

00:25:04.647 --> 00:25:26.568
So that's kind of like the next stage is really not getting too excited, not waking up, and there's different grounding techniques that are taught to really try to stabilize inside the dream, different things that you can do that will try to keep you there once you realize it, so that you don't wake up.

00:25:26.568 --> 00:25:40.403
And I had a lucid dream once where I was sitting in the back of a limo with my husband and we were waiting for the driver and we were waiting and waiting and waiting for the driver and then finally I said to him why are we waiting?

00:25:40.403 --> 00:25:43.539
This is a dream, we don't need a driver.

00:25:43.539 --> 00:25:46.481
We actually don't even need a driver.

00:25:46.481 --> 00:25:50.401
We could get up there and drive it ourselves or we could just make it go.

00:25:50.401 --> 00:25:52.381
Why are we sitting here waiting?

00:25:52.381 --> 00:25:59.825
And so that was just one of those experiences where you kind of got that light bulb.

00:25:59.825 --> 00:26:05.799
Then, once you had it, you're like, well, what this is so silly, we can do this ourselves.

00:26:06.275 --> 00:26:15.419
It's pretty amazing when you get to do that Because you're like, oh OK, let's go, let's do this or chase that guy instead of him chasing me, or whatever it might be.

00:26:15.439 --> 00:26:24.207
Yes, and it makes you come to that realization that we are sometimes the creators of our own blocks.

00:26:24.207 --> 00:26:46.104
We tell ourselves things, we tell ourselves the way we believe the world to be and convince ourselves, talk ourselves out of possibilities and feel that we're trapped in it being a certain way, and don't realize that we actually have a lot more agency than we're giving ourselves credit for so, imagining there's a way to practice lucidity.

00:26:46.255 --> 00:26:47.760
is that intent as well?

00:26:47.760 --> 00:26:50.119
Yes, absolutely Are there.

00:26:50.361 --> 00:26:53.080
Yes, yes, ok, it's one of the big ones, for sure.

00:26:53.080 --> 00:27:05.383
Another one that I teach often is what I call reality checks, and it's where you, during the day when you're awake, create a habit of asking yourselves am I dreaming?

00:27:05.383 --> 00:27:09.045
So is this a dream, or am I asleep?

00:27:09.045 --> 00:27:15.357
And each time you do that it's just kind of a check yeah, ok, I'm awake.

00:27:15.357 --> 00:27:24.304
And then the more you do it, the more you will do it in your sleep and eventually you'll find yourself saying am I dreaming?

00:27:24.304 --> 00:27:27.143
And you'll go oh yes, this time I am.

00:27:27.143 --> 00:27:33.163
There's also a method of looking at your hands, which is really what the first time I was able to achieve.

00:27:33.163 --> 00:27:36.284
It worked for me, so I love that method.

00:27:36.284 --> 00:27:41.863
So, when you're doing the reality checks, look at your hands and you see how your hands look in this 3D world.

00:27:41.863 --> 00:27:49.421
And eventually I did that in my dream and I had no rings on and I knew I was dreaming.

00:27:50.826 --> 00:27:52.133
Interesting I just looked at my hands.

00:27:52.133 --> 00:27:52.595
I did too.

00:27:52.714 --> 00:27:54.382
I was like wait, wait yes.

00:27:54.694 --> 00:28:05.445
Well, as we start to wrap things up, can you share any tips or insights for our listeners who are interested in exploring their own dreams more deeply?

00:28:05.846 --> 00:28:06.087
Yes.

00:28:06.234 --> 00:28:21.023
So I would recommend going to my website and downloading my Dream Mirror template, because it really helps you look for the things that you want to try to record, that you want to pay attention to, and it gives you that little bit of an outline.

00:28:21.095 --> 00:28:35.047
And then I also have a course online that will teach you a lot more of these methods, from dream recall to lucid dreaming and onward and then start to just tap into your intuition.

00:28:35.047 --> 00:28:51.019
Start to appreciate your dreams the process of dream appreciation is the first step Understanding that they are important, that they hold value for us, that there's wisdom untapped there and that we have it within ourselves to access this wisdom.

00:28:51.019 --> 00:28:52.560
So that's really the first step.

00:28:52.560 --> 00:29:30.405
Then start keeping your dream journal, start asking to remember your dreams, start asking questions to be answered of your dreams, and then utilize the method to really pull out your own associations because you're the one who knows what the Coke bottle reminds you of, what the orange snake reminds you of, because it's your life experience or multiple lifetimes and use that as a basis for your inner work, for your self-care, for your higher levels of spiritual intelligence and expanded consciousness.

00:29:30.954 --> 00:29:32.740
Well, thank you so much, Megan.

00:29:32.740 --> 00:29:33.260
Awesome.

00:29:33.381 --> 00:29:34.304
